This is the end of the articles for the Jan 15, 1919 REPUBLICAN JOURNAL......yeah HERRON RIDGE The flu is the thing of the past in our section at present. ***** Miss Lelia ARMSTRONG was shopping at Dexter City, Thursday. ***** William HARPER was a business caller at Gem recently. ***** Henry NAU was a business caller at Frank DILLEHAY's Friday. ***** Charles HUPP and son McKinley and Fred BLAKE, of Low Gap, were seen on the Ridge, Wednesday. ***** A letter was received from Martin HARPER last week, who is serving with the Expeditionary Forces in Italy, stating that he would start for home soon. ***** John HUPP and family visited at the home of Frank NAU, recently. ***** Miss Elizabeth and Albert CROCK, who have been employed at Canton, have returned to their home. ***** Thomas SCOTT, of Camp Knox, Kentucky, spent a six-day furlough with his wife and relatives at this place, recently. ***** Prof. C.G. KING will resume his school work on the Ridge Monday. School being closed the past four weeks on account of sickness and the holiday vacation.
