She was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Cutler, Ohio to Warren and Ella Mae Kennedy. Juanita resided at Mill Run Gardens and Care Center for five years as a result of a stroke in February 2002. Before that, Juanita resided in Upper Arlington and worked as a private duty nurse and a nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She attended church at First Community Church in Upper Arlington and Upper Arlington Lutheran Church at Mill Run. Juanita volunteered at Maple Grove United Methodist Church for the senior citizens program, where she was honored as "Miss Lady Clintonville." She loved to travel, read the Bible, exercise, attend church, dance and spend time with family and friends. Juanita especially liked to take long drives in the country with her friend William, fish and spend time with her grandchildren. She loved to cook. She was known for her banana cream and lemon meringue pies and fruit cobblers. She is survived by daughter, Ellen Wagar (Mark) of Manhattan, N.Y.; daughter, Linda Witwer (Doug) of Dublin; four grandchildren, Mark Wagar of Washington, D.C., Bret Wagar of Frisco, Texas, Natalie Witwer Metzger (Matthew) of Manhattan, N.Y., and Nick Witwer of Dublin.; two brothers, James Kennedy and Robert (Louise) Kennedy; sister, Helen (Bob) Carlisle; and beloved friend, William Mayle and his extended family. Juanita was preceded in death by husband, Richard M.Greene; son, Richard L. Greene; mother and father, Mae and Warren Kennedy; and sister, Garnet Curtis. Services were held on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008. Interment was in Union Cemetery in Columbus..
