When they are found to have been born in Australia or New Zealand, he makes claims that all the research was his, but when they are pointed out as being from some other place, he then passes on the blame to Mr. Barry Crompton (e-mail [email protected]), who is secretary of the American Civil War Round Table of Australia. Our small group of original researchers has tried to deter Gray from using our material, but he goes ahead anyway, without our permission, and then, when he suffers the consequences of his inaccuracies, he always blames others, never himself. I would not place any reliance on his web site, as they include inaccuracies and assumptions in every single biography that they show his lack of research, if any.
