She was surrounded by her family and special friends, Shayne Sidwell and Makia Sidwell. She was born Tuesday, September 27, 1938 in Beverly, Ohio the daughter of Denver and Edna (Wagner) Harper. She married Lawrence W. ''Larry'' Gibson on Friday, February 14, 1958. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church . Virginia was a breast cancer survivor. In addition to her husband of the home, Virginia is survived by three children, Tad (Angie) Gibson, Tracey (Rick) Blevins and Teresa (Smiley) Bennett; eight grandchildren, Brittany & Steele Matthews, Nathan Blevins, Regan, MacKenzie and Hallie Bennett, Brady and Kelli Gibson; one brother, Phillip (Tamara) Harper of Zanesville; two sisters, Martha Davis of Lancaster and Eleanor Smith of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews and a special pet Maggie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, Hayden Bennett Visitation will be held Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue. Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 27, at the funeral home with Chaplin Tim Patton, officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
