    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: monty_j_2000 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.washington/1627/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am trying to establish the parents of William Johnson (Sr) born July 5, 1786 in PA, married Mary Botkin (Bodkin) January 24, 1811 in Washington Co, OH and died April 25, 1863 in Decatur Twp, Washington Co, OH. I believe William (Sr) may have had brothers John (2nd) and Benjamin and that his father is likely John Johnson (Sr). I also believe that John Johnson (Sr) may have had a brother William Johnson, as the listing of inhabitants of Washington County in 1800 shows a William and John Johnson. If anyone has any confirmation of any of these suppositions, or any other information about them, I would appreciate if you would contact me. 3. Re your Johnson family inquiry: I'm a William Johnson descendant through James B. and Jane Place Johnson. My grandfather, who lived in Little Hocking, made the following notation in one of his journals in the 1950s: "We went to Sunday school at the Methodist Church and went out to Decatur Township to a Universalist Sunday school picnic on Little West Branch of Little Hocking Creek on the Wm Weinrich farm which at one time belonged to my great grandfather Wm Johnson who was a pioneer settler of that section." I grew up in L.H. and knew the Weinrichs, but forget exactly where they lived. Been intending to check property maps, but haven't done it. Shelby Miller Ruch in Pa.
