    3. Debbie, I am confused -- doesn't this just make more places for us to have to go to find the same things? I want to compress, not expand -- aaagggh! Does it really have different information than is out there already? I wish we would All get on board with one thing, like genweb, and stick with it so that we are not running all over the internet. It drives me nuts when someone starts yet another site for the same stuff. Can you tell us what is different about it than what is already out there? Nancy

    3. Many people don't have a clue as to where to look for family research on the internet, especially those new to the world of genealogy. One of the things that is nice about Genealogy Wise in the interaction with other family researchers and the help you can get with your brick walls is unbelievable. Another thing that I like about Genealogy Wise is the things you post remains your property and in many things...the copyright. I'm careful in what I send to GenWeb and sites because you never know if it will "always" remain a FREE site. Also if you go to google.com and type in what you need. There is a 99.9% chance that you will get hits on Genealogy Wise. It's like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. 3. Thank you -- guess I'll give it a look, Nancy p.s. I do hear you on owning your own stuff--I know several people who have had their material virtually stolen.

    3. Debbie, for over 14 years now the USGenWeb Project has proven that it is determined to remain as a Project and source that remains free to all. We have successfully fought off any attempts to change it. If you are aware of any part of the Project that is charging for access for any materials that the coordinators have provided or that has been donated to the Project by anyone, please forward the information and proof of this to me so that appropriate action may be taken to swiftly correct any violation. I have read the user agreements for Facebook and MySpace and find the wording of both to be troubling and unacceptable which appears to be at odds with what you are saying.
