Applegate Follows Husband in Death Beverly -- Mrs Charles Russel Applegate, prominent local resident, died Tuesday at the family winter home in Sarasota, Fla., Just a week following the death of her husband. She had been Ill for some time. Mrs Applegate was a member of the Washington county Woman's home board, the Marietta Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was an active member of the Local Presbyterian church. She was formerly Miss Fannie Spooner. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home here and burial will be in the community Cemetery. Surviving is one daughter, Miss Eleanor Applegate, who had accompanied her parents to Florida.
