He might be,,,,,that is "IF" Joseph didn't die before his father did." I haven't the 1851 Estate record either. However, I do know Joseph passed away after Willard. 24 Jul 1870 - Record 708 Wash. Co. Probate Death Records Other documentation includes the following and I'd appreciate if someone could advise the name of "Township 3" - I know I saw a book that had that info in it once, but I can't find it in my notes. 1830 Census: Lawrence Twp., Washington Co., OH 1832 Land Purchase: Range 07, Township 03, Section 20 (Doc No 1062) 1840 Census: Lawrence Twp., Washington Co., OH 1850 Tyler Co., VA (carpenter living with Samuel Robinson family) 1860 Census: Lawrence Twp, Washington Co., OH (back with Nancy & family) 1870 Census: Barlow Twp., Watertown P.O., Washington Co., OH (72-yr-old Joseph and 66-yr-old Nancy with son, George, and his family) Washington County, OH Cemetery Index HARRIS, Joseph, d. 1870, Barlow, Barlow Twp. Don't know yet what happened to Nancy and children in 1850, but I think the 1850 Tyler Co. could be my Joseph because: 1) Haven't find him in Washington Co. yet. 2) Since 1850, part of Tyler Co., VA has become Pleasant Co., WV located across Ohio River from Wash. Co. so it is geographically close. 3) The Tyler Co. Joseph Harris was born in RI same as the other Census recs. 4) Ages in the various Census recs fit together well. Thanks Debbie and Merry Ann for the expertise you've already provided, Pam
