She was born 12 Dec 1808 in OH and died 17 Oct 1899 in Delaware Co, OH. How can this be if you have Joseph still in Washington Co, with Nancy in 1870? Since 1960, the genealogists have been much more careful in their documentation. My input: I found an 1800 Newton Township, Washington Co. tax entry for a Joseph Harris in the "Ohio Census, 1790-1890" database. Since my Joseph was born in 1798, it fits a second Joseph. There is also an 1860 entry for a Joseph Harris in Delaware County. In between, I found a Joseph Harris in the U.S. Census for Washington Twp., Coshocton Co., OH. These entries would fit the DAR Harris' migration The 1820 Washington Co. marriage record for Joseph Harris and Nancy Price fits my Joseph because the Death Certificate for their son (my James Harris, Sr. b. 1825) includes "Parents: Joseph Harris born in Rhode Island and (first name omitted) Price born in Ohio." As a result of our earlier posts, I received an off-line inquiry wondering if my Joseph could be the brother of a Sally Harris, daughter of George Harris and wife of James Dowling. After hearing of this, I found an 1830 Washington Co. Census page that has a James Dowling, a George Harris, and a John Price all on the same page. Sooo.... I'm off to do more sleuthing. At least I have something to research now. For years, it's just been a brickwall. Thanks to all, Pam
