Hi Elizabeth, I don't know who Emma, Janet & Katherine are. Melissa & Sophia are daughters of Thos. Barkley & wife Eliz. Kirkpatrick. They never married. Their other siblings were - Mary "Polly" who marr. Amos Gardner Amos d. 1813 & then Mary marr. a Luke Chandler. He died & she moved to IL with her son Amos. Eliz. marr. Wm. **Burroughs Jane marr. Theodore Sedgwick Foster Samuel marr. Nancy Burroughs Margaret marr. **Wm. Burroughhs after her sister Eliz. died. Melissa never married Harriet never married Harriet moved to IL with her sister Mary "Polly" (Barkley) Gardner Chandler & marr. in IL to Joseph Ritzler. All of Thos. Barkley's children were b. bet. 1785 & 1810. Thomas & his wife just seem to have vanished. They are in the 1820 US Census Belpre, Wash. Co., OH Thos. is in the Enumeration of White Males of Wash. Co. in 1827 Thos. & wife Eliz. are not in the 1830 US Census of Washington Co., OH. So....assumed they died. Sure is a mystery as to what happened to them.
