Doris... There were quite a few early cemeteries that was in existence in Washington County during 1814. Keep in mind that Washington County was the first and the biggest county in the state of Ohio during the early years, including 1814. Do you know what township your ancestor was in when he died? If you don't know, then do you know if he lived in Washington County during the 1810 census. That may provide a clue as to what township cemetery your ancestor could be buried. If not in Washington Co. during 1810...did he own any land between the years of 1810-1814? Land Grants or deeds may also provide a CLUE as to what township he's buried in. Here is the url to the Washington County, Ohio Historical Society's Cemetery Index. This may help. Not all cemeteries are listed, but I would say about 85-90% are on the Cemetery Index. (Maybe a little more or less than that) http://www.wchs-ohio.org/cem_index.htm If you can provide the name of your ancestor someone may be able to help you locate what cemetery your ancestor is buried. Another place to keep in mind is the cemeteries in West Virginia that boarders Washington County, Ohio, which is seperated by the Ohio River.
