Subject: Help! Government Run Program During the 1930's early '40's. Has anyone ever heard of a "3 C Camp" based in or around Marietta, Ohio during the 1930's or early '40's? '3 C' was a gov program - run by the state for jobs/where people could find work. My uncle Dean Johnson (Johnston) supposedly joined at the age of 16 yrs. and was in it until he left for the war during WWII.
Deb, My dad was in the 3Cs in Parsons West Virginia. Let me look and see if I can find a camp around Marietta. I would be surprised since he was from Parkersburg...Ray ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debbie Noland Nitsche" <[email protected]> To: "Washington Co LIST" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 19, 2009 7:28 PM Subject: [OHWashin] Help! That would be civilian conservation corp-it was a New Deal program and indeed ended with America's involvement in WWII. Try a google search for civilian conservation corp in ohio, marietta, etc. I would even try calling the public library- On Mon, Jan 19, 2009 at 7:28 PM, Debbie Noland Nitsche < [email protected]> wrote: > Subject: Help!
