Hello All,   My husband and I are thinking about a visit to Washington County this coming summer or fall to visit the area and to do some research on "my people"  (Brown, Story, La Grange, Selleck, Mason, Shockley, Davis, & Hutchins).   What would be a good time to visit within those months?  Are there any special annual events.?  As the trip gets finalized I'd like to pick your brains on where to do research etc.   Thank you for any suggestions.   Carolyn Sacramento

Carolyn.. Go To the Marietta, Ohio Convention & Visitors Bureau website. http://www.mariettaohio.org/ That will give you a wealth of info about things going on in Wash. Co. Don't forget to order your FREE Visitors Brochure. I suggest that you visit in Early SEPTEMBER. That is when they have the Annual Stearnwheel Festival.
