The newspaper article states it was ABOVE Harmar. Wonder if it is located around Mile Run, or going the other way toward's Oak Grove? Probably Mile Run. Most of the popular stone quarry's were located between Harmar and Belpre, with several being in Warren & Dunham Township. I need to look on the 1875 Atlas and see if Townsend's Quarry was in existance then. Does anyone know if it was? Well, for sure mine is spinning <G> there are two Edward W Spragues The senior Edward W was the son of Anthony Wayne and Lucinda Devol Sprague then his son Frank was the father of the second born 1869 who died in 1913 of kidney disease.
