I was hunting one of my Lords (nearly anyone named Abner Lord (whatever)in this case Guitteau) and found this, I am thinking that she really is Sarah Wright Shepard Ransom Davis born (on her tombstone 8 Mar 1789 London England, married I have been told in Marietta (someone had her marriage to Jacob Shepard) the dates are so very similar. Mueller & Son, Marietta, Ohio 1884 (pg. 244) Mrs. SHEPPARD, who married Dr. CREEL of Parkersburg was born in London, England, in 1791, and came to Marietta in 1835, having been in this country about ten years. She was a great reader and an artist and fine taste and exquisite skill in music. She was in every way a lady of the highest culture. She died in Marietta, November 8, 1878. Her son, Mr. C. J. SHEPPARD, was appointed by Bishop MEADE, as lay-reader in Wellsburg and St. John's Va., where his (Mr. S's) wife's family was among the prominent Church families. Her father built the church there.
