She was born on April 8, 1920, at Elba, OHIO, a daughter of William F. and Margaret Jane Porter Greenlees. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1937, attended Marietta College and received her Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University. Ruth retired from the Warren Local School District where she taught English at Warren Elementary School and Barlow-Vincent School and had previously taught at Beverly High School. During WWII, Ruth was a "Rosie the Riveter" in a bomber factory in Coshocton. She was a member of Warren Chapel United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma (teacher's honorary sorority), Sigma Kappa sorority at Marietta College and Retired Teacher's Association. In 1944, she married Ronald E. Good who preceded her in death on October 12, 1984. She is survived by two sons, James Greenlees Good of Cincinnati and Ron Porter Good of Port Townsend, WA; grandson, Scott Porter Good of New York, NY; sister-in-law, Priscilla Cooke Greenlees of Marietta; niece, Marijean Stockwell of Williamstown; nephews, Dr. David Stockwell of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Bill Stockwell of Morgantown, WV, and Harold Stockwell of Vienna, and William M. Greenlees of Tulsa, OK. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers William C. Greenlees and Dr. Jack Greenlees and sister Elizabeth "Beth" Greenlees Stockwell. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13, at 2 p.m. at McCLURE-SCHAFER-LANKFORD FUNERAL HOME with Reverend Richard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Warren Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Friday with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at: www.mslfuneralhome.com.
