Thanks. I have a Sarah Jane Myers who married a William Purnel Cox. They had a child AnnArah Cox b. 24 Oct 1868 in Liberty Township, Wash. Co., OH I found her birth certificate in Marrieta, OH but have never been able to find this family in any census or in any location prior to 1880 when I found them in Marion County, WV. Sarah Jane's parents were William MYERS and Mary Susannah Walker. MARY MYERS Many of their children - Elizabeth Myers Koon; James d. 04 Apr 1894; David d. 15 Mar 1905; William, Jr. d. 16 Dec 1867; Morgan Tucker d. 13 Jun 1911: are all buried in Liberty Township. Again we copied this info when we were at either the Marietta Library or the Marietta Courthouse. There is a younger sister Susannah (Myers) that married a William Mossburg. I have no record of her death but would like to find here obituary. She died Feb 19, 1932. I did find the Myers in Monongalia County in the 1850 Census 1850 Census, Monongalia County, VA William Myers, 45, Farmer, VA Susanna, 37, VA MARY SUSANNA WALKER MYERS Elizabeth A., 19, VA John, 16, Farmer, VA Jonathan, 14, VA Sarah J., 10, VA James, 10, VA David, 6, VA William, 4, VA Morgan, 2, VA But the William and Mary Myers family and the William and Sarah Jane Myers Cox family both seem to disappear in 1860 and 1870 census. I am hoping if I find some obits for William Myers,,Mary Myers, Susanna Mossburg there may be some clues that give me some new research paths. I do know that Sarah Jane Myers Cox died in Parkersburg and I have her obit, 1923. I also know that William Pernal Cox died in Marion County and I have his obit., 1900.
