Catherine and George were not married in Marietta. This is what I *think* after looking at some of the census and trees. I need proof. I found a George and Catherine Seibert in a 1870 Census, Derry, Westmoreland, PA. 1860 or 1850 I found a George with another wife named Elizabeth (Elis) with children. Some of those same names and ages match the children in the 1870 Derry Census. I *think* that the 1st wife died and he remarried Catherine Sipple between 1860 & 1869. Mary E. was Catherine's 1st child. They lived in PA until they moved to Marietta. The other children from the 1st marriage would have been old enough to be on their own. I have tried to search records on line in PA and have found that the state is a giant black hole. I will have to use Family Search or travel to the area. I'm not opposed to traveling to do research if I'm confident that I am right. Now I'm back to...where are they buried. You are probably right that the family moved on. According to the 1880 census he was a farmer. I'm trying to check the available records for Washington county and head west toward Columbus. Hopefully I'll find something. I do know that they lived in Warren Twp according to some of the death certificates of some of the children. John, Peter H., Peter and Henry are all buried in Columbus. I have found their graves. Rosanna married and moved to Nebraska. I have found no trace of Catherine or Tracy, nor mention of them in any of my grandmother's papers. I believe they died young. So I have even more bodies to find. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
