Specifically Salem Twp, Newport Twp. There is another researcher out there who has a little bit of info on Covington for the Spencer line. 1850 Salem Twp, Washington Co., OH census: Covington Magruder, 49, farmer, $600, b. Md Ann , 47, b. NJ William Mcgruder 16, b. Ohio Eliza J Mcgruder 14 John Mcgruder 12 Nahum W Mcgruder 6 Asahel Mcgruder 4 (All kids noted as born in Ohio.) Other researchers don't have the parents of Ann Hockingbury but they are listed as living next door to them.) Parents of Ann Hockingbury are: Jacob Hockingbury, 73, no occupation, b. NJ Sarah Hockingbury, 62, b. NJ You would need to check to see if he has a will filed in Washington County Courthouse. (Wonder if this "G" is supposed to be a "C"?) HOCKENBERRY, Jacob, d. 1859, Lower Salem, Salem Twp. HOCKENBERRY, Sarah, d. 1878, Lower Salem, Salem Twp (would have to recheck date. Probably should be 1858?) HOCKINBERRY, Sarah E, 1833-1909, Lower Salem, Salem Twp. HOCKINBERRY, William R, 1835-1909, Lower Salem, Salem Twp. (The above are either husband & wife or they are possibly brother & sister to Ann.) There are a bunch of Hockingbury(?) in Washington County. Here is an excerpt from the Clan MacGregor book for 1961: 1340 _ Magruder, Willard Lee, 4625 Newland St., Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Nephew of Mrs. Doc Wilson, Member No. 1263.
