Dan or Daniel was the son of Elijah Pond and Lois Tuttle.  Elijah died in 1811 and Lois remairred Robert Bradford.  I think Daniel was born in Rutland Co., VT prior to the family moving to Washingtion Co., in 1801 but I am not sure. I just fell over the Ponds who came from Poultney Vt to Marietta in 1801 and I won't find that again for ages. There is only a Samuel Pond who married Ethelinde Clark in 1882 he of Barlow Twp. Elijah doesn't show up in the 1820 Census, how old was Dan and do you know the mothers name? I thought maybe Dan was maybe in a stepfathers household.
