Early in 1809 the Ohio State Senate recieved a remonstrance from the overseers of the poor in Marietta objecting to the release of JOHN CHIVINGTON from prison. Is this the same JOHN "CHEVETON" who married REBECAH PATTEN in Washington County 6 April 1806? Is this the same JOHN CHIVINGTON who married MARTHA DICKEY on 22 August 1809? Does anyone know what John Chivington had done so he would be put in prison and cause the people of Marietta to object to him being let out?
