RE: Marietta Gen. Library If you do get to come to Marietta. Nice Library. Helpful staff. BUT... be warned, the outside sign is almost impossible to see from Washington St. Hope everyone gets to visit Marietta some day. And if you do, be sure to visit the visitor place downtown. Full of pamplets, etc on things to do in the area. I had no idea what a "chain" length was until I visited Campus Martis Museum. Very interesting. Was really happy I got to see some of the covered bridges and finally at last got to see where my grandmas grandpa Dr. William McCowan and his wife were buried in Moss Run Cem. Oh yes, almost forgot. Just put in "marietta, oh" + library (or "genealogy library" Also the Mariettatimes.com website is great. Has lots of old pictures and their obituaties search engine wonderful. In getting rid of some really old messages, seeing yours and noticing your last name, Lang, and also researching Langs.--- I am descended from Asa Lang b. abt 1790, who married Amanda Warren. Their daughter, Ester Lang married John Arnold and had a daughter, Caroline, who married into my Roach line. Unfortunately, John rode off, never to be seen again. Since seeing these two names, Warren and Arnold, I have always been looking for some connection to the Revolutionary War Warren and Arnold. Which Langs belong to your line?
