    3. OLD MARIETTA PAPERS http://ohgen.net/ohwashin/OMP-1.htm The Marietta Register frequently included a column entitled, “Old Marietta Papers,” which featured news and announcements extracted from some of the area’s earliest newspapers. Microfilm Reel # 39487, covering years 1862-1867, provided the following information about the area’s earliest residents from those columns 1808-1843. Although every effort has been made to note each personal item in a particular issue, some may have been missed. Please consult the microfilm reel if you feel an error has occurred. -- Aaron _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live™ Hotmail®:…more than just e-mail. http://windowslive.com/online/hotmail?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_HM_more_042009

    3. Debbie, I am definitely in favor to keep the Campus Martius and Ohio River Museums open. It is the best information on the setttlement of a area of Ohio that was a very important part of the settlement of Ohio. Although I do not live in the area, when I hear of someone going to Ohio that is one of the places I would recommend them to be sure to visit due to it being a very good place to learn about the growing of our country and the state of Ohio. It would be a shame to close it and not give future generations to be able to see it. I wish I could be there but I am unable to travel right now. Thanks for letting me know.
