A number of the Hills named in your messages are mentioned many times in diaries kept by one of my Little Hocking relatives when she was a teenager. There are references to these Hill family members: Bill, Eliza, Flora, Jim, Lib, Math and Rogers. In fact, Jim Hill was a boyfriend of my relative. I self published the diaries and letters as a book, "Bluecoats, Boats & Light Bread, the 1862-64 Diaries of Ann Bartlett of Little Hocking, Ohio," and indexed the names. I also listed some names from the 1860 census for Little Hocking.. Among those are: Rogers Hill, wharf master, Eliza, Alvin A. and James K. Matthew Hill, farmer, Ann, children Caroline C. and Levia (?) William Hill, shoemaker, Elizabeth, chidlren John William, George W., Flora and Robert Hall aged 23. I believe the Marietta Library has a copy of the book. If you want more information, you can email me.
