Born September 5, 1900 in Lowell he was the son of Harry and Kate Augenstein Stacy. He retired in 1958 as a tug boat captain for Standard Oil. He was a member of Waterford Methodist church, Mount Moriah Lodge 37 F.&AM of Beverly, Scottish Rite of Columbus, Marietta Shrine Club, Washington Co Shrine Club, K of P Buell Lodge 395 of Lowell and Washington County Harness Horseman Association. Surviving are his widow, the former Alice Malster; one brother Paul stacy of Marietta; two sisters, Mrs Kathryn Ede of Marietta and Mrs Grace Vander Poel of De Vola; three nieces and four nephews. Friends may call at McCurdy Funeral home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev Willard Noce officiating. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p. m.

Eliz The Times Recorder (Zanesville, Ohio) > 1958 > January > 3 WOMAN, 70 DIES AT HOME IN WATERFORD Beverly -- Mrs Carrie Bingham, 70, wife of Walter Bingham of Waterford, died suddenly at her home where she was recovering from a broken ankle sustained a month ago. A native of Palmer township, Washington county, she was the daughter of Alva L. and Mary Malster. Mrs Bingham was a treasurer of the Order of the Eastern Star chapter of Beverly and was a 50 year member of the Waterford grange. She was also a member of the Waterford Methodist church, the Women's Society of Christian Service, White Shrine of Jerusalem at Marietta and the Beverly Rebekah lodge. She was a charter member of the OES chapter and was active in its affairs. Mrs Bingham was a graduate of Waterford high school and formerly taught school in Palmer township. She and her husband resided in Palmer township until 1923 when they moved to Waterford. In addition to her husband are a sister Mrs Osmer Stacey of Waterford; two brothers Emmett Malster of York Neb and Daine (??) Malster of Bellevue O and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Waterford Methodist church with Rev P. A. Harlan officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford cemetery by the McCurdy funeral home at Beverly. The OES will hold services at the residence at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Applegate prominent retired banker, died Tuesday at his winter home in Sarasota, Fla. Death resulted from a stroke of paralysis althought he had been in poor health for some time. Mr Applegate was a lifelong resident of Beverly and for many years was connected with the Citizens Bank company in the capacities of cashier, president and finally as chairman of the board of directoris. Poor health had forced his retirement. He was a leading figure in the Masonic lodge here and was for many years active in civic affairs. Surviving are his widow and one daughter Miss Eleanor, who were with him in Florida at the time of his death. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Mindling funeral home here with the Masonic Lodge in charge. Burial will be in the village cemetery. The body will lie in state at the home from 11 until 4 o'clock Friday

    3. The Zanesville Signal (Zanesville, Ohio) 1931 October 17 SIDNEY SPOONER FUNERAL TODAY Beverly, O., Oct 17 -- Funeral services were held for Sidney Spooner. Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of his sister Mrs C. R. Applegate, with Rev. Howard T. Bay of Duncan Falls, officiating. Interment in charge of Maxwell and Mindling. funeral directors was made in the Beverly Cemetery. Mr Spooner was born in Beverly March 24, 1884. When two years of age the family moved to Kansas City, Mo., where he later received his education. Mr Spooner was an electrician. He had been an invalid for nearly 25 years, and since the death of his mother 15 years ago, he had lived with his sister and her husband, Mr and Mrs C. R. Applegate. He was found dead in his room early Wednesday morning. Death was due to heart trouble. Surviving are Mr and Mrs Applegate and daughter, Eleanor. The Misses Minnie and Bessie Wright are first cousins and Mrs Lola Toy is a distant relative

The Beverly Dispatch, Sept 18, 1941 Bessie Beulah Wright Beverly village suffered a real bereavement in the passing from earth at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept 12, of one of its most active and interested citizens from babyhood-Bessie Beulah Wright. Although suffering from marked health disturbance for a number of years, she cheerfully and uncomplainingly continued insofar as her health would permit, her normal activities. Bessie Beulah Wright was one of two daughters born to Benjamin F. and Cemantha Wigner Wright. She was born at Lowell on June 23, 1871, her parents coming to Beverly in the year 1873. She received her education in the Beverly school and for two years was a music student at Belpre. She was a private piano instructor and for 20 years was organist in the Beverly Cumberland Presbytery church and for two other decades was organist of the Methodist church which she was a member. She ad been, for a number of years, pianist in the primary department of the church school. She was a member of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service and for three years had been president of the former Aid Society of the church and was affiliated with the Mary-Martha class of the Sunday school. She was a member of the Beverly-Waterford Woman’s Christian temperance Union and has been connected with the Beverly Welfare Association and Vivic League. Surviving are the sister, Miss Minnie. E. Wright of the hom; an aunt, Mrs. Laura McCormick of Logan; a cousin and close friend Mrs. Eleanor Applegate Cooke of Jacksonville, Florida, and other cousins. The funeral rites were held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the large attendance testifying to the worth of the departed, further accented by the profusion of beautiful floral tributes. The interment was in Beverly cemetery, C.H. Mindling funeral director. Mr O.E. Townsend of Mansfield, and Mr. and Mrs. John McDermott of Columbus, attended the services.
