    1. Re: [OHWASH] Heddleston-Gordon-Gooseman Birthplace
    2. Susie, In the census David's children say he was born in Ireland and Ann says she was born in Pa. David's story was that he came alone or ran away from the family when he got here and lived for a while in Sardis, Monroe County, Ohio until he married Ann and moved to Grandview Twp. There is a chance that Ann's father was John Gordon and dead when she married or soon after. Lynn

    2. Does anyone know the country or birthplace of David Heddleston and his wife Ann Gordon? This couple was living in Grandview twp in the early 1800's. I have been trying to link them to my great great grandparents Cynthia Ann Gooseman and Unknown Heddleston (they were born about 1812). Cynthia Ann was born in Pennsylvania, was on the 1840 and 1850 Washington County, OH census. She later married Edward Dawson, Jolly Township, Washington County and moved to Van Buren County, Iowa. Cynthia Ann Gooseman Heddleston Dawson stated in the 1870 Iowa census that her father was born in Ireland and her mother in Germany. There was a John Gooseman in Grandview at the same time Cynthia Ann was living there and I suspect that they were kinsmen. Any help will be most appreciated. 3. Deb, Call Tech Support at your ISP, and ask them to increase the capacity of your mailbox. They can, and will do that, and then you may receive larger-size files, graphics, etc., without your mailbox capacity being exceeded. That's the main reason I don't use the "economy" ($9.95/month) ISP's--they reduce the size of the mail box you have, with them. 2. Debbie Noland Nitsche
    3. While I was in the process of doing a look-up for someone in the book, WASHINGTON COUNTY, OHIO TO 1980, I came across an article that was titled, "THE WILLIAMS FAMILY". It was submitted by Gladys Williams Thorton & Marquette Williams Woodruff. (both children of David and Nellie Williams) In paragraphs 5 & 6 of the article, it mentions the 6 children of David Hiel Willams and Nellie Hendershot. The 4th child is listed as Marceline Williams MANKIN. It seems to me that Marceline married someone from my line of Mankin(s), because they were from the Belpre area. My MANKIN(S) lived in the townships of Warren, Dunham, Barlow and Belpre. Does anyone know the submitters of the article? I wonder if they are still living? I would like to know which MANKIN Marceline married? Debbie Noland Nitsche Philadelphia, PA.
