    3. Hi Judy, I'm not researching this family. I took a look in the History of Washington County, Ohio, 1778-1881, and found this. I hope it's of some use. (Liberty Township) p707 - "Hiram Dearth was among the more recent settlers of the county, having removed here in 1869. He was born in 1828 in Monroe county, Ohio. He married Hester J. Kasey, born in 1830, and has the following children: James, Ephraim, Lewis, John, Robert, Martha A., Arizona, Russell, and George S., all living, and Nancy J., Kasey and Frank, deceased." Ron

    3. The 1870 census of Washington Co. shows George Dearth 34 and wife Martha. His Mother Eliza J. age 61 is in the household. Is anyone researching this family? I think my Rachel Dearth may be the sister of George. In 1880 the census shows Eliza J. as a grandmother in the home of John Davies. He is the son of Rachel Dearth Davies. I am thinking this Eliza may be Eliza Jane Hupp? Thank you for reading this posting. Judy Bowman

    3. Nina; There is an article on Col. Mareen Duvall, son of William And Priscilla Prewitt Duvall, born Dec. 8, 1767. The article was submitted by Bertram D. Duvall. (Bert was my 7th gr. Ohio History teacher) It is about 7 pagraraphs long. There is also an article on Harvey W. Graham, with 14 short paragraphs, with a photo of Harvey and Gladys Graham. It was submitted by Harvey W. Graham. The book is too large to fit into my scanner for me to get a good copy of the pages. I can type out both articles for you, and scan the picture if you want. 1. [OHWASH] Cline - John & Jacob
    2. Would like to know more about Jacob Cline (1797-1879) and his siblings. His parents John Cline (born Oct 1772 - perhaps in Sunbury, PA) and Mary Brown (born 1773 - perhaps in VA). Not sure where they married. Jacob Cline married Nancy Mills (born about 1797 in Ohio). She may have died before the 1870 census, as Jacob Cline was living with his oldest son, John J. Cline in Monroe County by then. As all the children of this family were born in Ohio, beginning in 1817, it may be that Jacob and Nancy married in Ohio, in Washington County, about 1815, but there seems to be no record of it. Jacob and Nancy Cline were the parents of Wesley (or Westley) Cline, whose daughter, Susannah A. Cline, married my great-grandfather's younger brother, Wilhelm Edward Ronshausen. Thanks. N. L. 1. [OHWASH] Re:Sprague cousins-- Mystery
    2. Hi: I also descend from Edward in Upwey, Dorset. Went to visit the Fordington St. George church and St. Laurence in Upway a few years ago. Wonderful place. Unfortunately the lineage to Tristram Sprague is poorly documented and probably untrue. I descend from Edward to William to Jonathan to William to Major. Joshua to Elijah to his eldest daughter by Anna ???. That daughter was named ZERVIAH SPRAGUE (Elija had a first wife who died a few days after giving birth to their daughter, named after the mother--Avis Mitchel/Mitshal. Avis the daughter, lived in Adams, Berkshire County in 1803.married a man named John Huit (Hewit?) Back to Zerviah.. she was born in 1786 in Adams, Berkshire County, MA where the Joshua Sprague family moved after getting kicked out of Sackville, Nova Scotia around 1776. Zerviah lived in Berkshire (or Bennington, VT) until after her father, Elijah Sprague died in 1800. Zerviah married David ROSS in about 1801 in Stamford, Bennington VT. They had at least two children there and then moved to Washington County, OH, living on the Sprague farm accross from Coal Run. They had several children and are buried on the Sprague farm. Please help me find out who Anna Sprague was (maiden name) and also the parents of David Ross. The roots for these people are in Smithfield or Glocseter in Providence County, RI and may be related to a family named Shippee or Shippey. I hope this connects with someone. Henry Owen William Ross (son of David and Zerviah) had children who later went to Abilene, Dickinson County, KS. Thanks Peter Kuczmarski wrote: > Charles, This is my Sprague line. 3. Last week, I posted on the List, that I have information on the Census of the Washington Co., Children's Home. I uploaded the records on my website, but it took up way to much space that I am allowed to have, so I took all of them off my site. In additon to that reason I don't want to be in violation of my subscription aggrement with ancestry.com. Anyway.............I found a way to fix the problem. :o) I transcribed a ALL the reports (Boy, my fingers are sore from all that typing. LOL), and put them in a file. You can view these at my website. If anyone finds an ancestor or someone of intrest, let me know, and I will be glad to send you the orginal report. To view the 1920 and 30 census, you really don't need anything special, except Internet Exployer 6.0. To view the 1850, 60, 70, 80, 1900, and 1910 census, you would need to use something like the MrSid Viewer. It is a free download. Let me know if you don't have it, and I will send you the website, in which you can download it for FREE.
