    2. I, too, have struggled to find clarity out of much of the info on the web regarding Dudley Daniel DAVIS' parentage. He was discharged from West Point. Moved to Tungridge, Orange Co, VT in 1790 where he and his wife lived for 3yrs before heading for the OH lands in 1792. 1. [OHWASH] Dudley Davis Family
    2. Listers Would anyone on the list be researching the Dudley D. Davis Family of Salem and Adams Townships, Washington County, Ohio. Dudley is my 4th great grandfather on my fathers side of my family. I am finding a lot of conflicting info on his parentage and was looking for someone that may have his line. I have his military record and place of birth and his history of the time he spent in Washington County. His wife Mercy Wood and info on his children. His parentage in all the family trees I have found dosen't add up in real time possibly as being correct. The dates don't match. Is there anyone out there researching this family that would like to exchange info?.. Dudley D Davis was born abt Oct 1763 in Nottiingham Mass. married Mercy Wood in Dracut , Mass Aug 11 1785. Came to the area in 1792 and stayed at the Belpre Garrison during the Indian War. is related to the Jonas Davis killed by Indians just before his Wedding at the Belpre Garrison. Thank You and Happy Hunting Linda lrhall175@aol.com

    3. debbie, Any Bakers in the book? What a great find! I live in Loudoun County VA (born and raised in Wood County, WV) and I know several families went from here to Ohio. I have a small book "Orphans, Apprentices and Bas---- Children 1757-1850" . It is an index of Court records with information for each entry. If anyone wants a look up I'll see what I can find. 3. Debbe, I'm in VA, DC suburbs. It lulls us into thinking It's over then comes back with a roar! And it's "just a class 2". I did what you did and made lots of ice cubes, in case. Power has flickered several times but not gone off completely. I have a big old weeping willow, 30 years old, and the roots are shallow so I'll probably take cat naps till this is over. 3. Eliz; Did you know that you can get a home page from AOL and don't even have to subscribe? That would be a good place for you to put the Bible info. And if you send me the link, I will add it to the LINK page. Only one thing.................once you start adding text, you have to type all the info in maunally. You can't use the copy and paste. I use hometown AOL for all my Wash. Co. sites, because it's FAST and sooooooo EASY to do. You don't even have to know how to put it in HTML format. Check out: http://my.screenname.aol.com/_cqr/login/login.pspsiteId=hometownUS&authLev=1 &mcState=initialized&triedAimAuth=y This should bring you to a Sign-in page. At the bottom you'll find this: Don't have a Screen Name? Get One Free! Click on that and it will walk you through the rest. One word of advice....Do your site with a BLANK PAGE. That way, you can put anything you want on it. Hope this helps......you sure do have some valuable info that I'm sure could be a use to someone.
