Is anyone familiar with a Daniel CLARK born about 1830 in Maryland (possibly Washington or Alleghany Counties) and married Catherine BRYAN about 1836 Beaver County PA. Catherine was the daughter of Aaron Bryan and Anne McDonald. Daniel Clark died in Meigs County 2/14/1910. His parents were not listed. I am interested in finding out who his parents are. I believe his sisters are Catherine Clark (married Daniel Beaver and later David Beegle) and Gulda Clark (married Abraham Beaver and later John Beegle). All Clarks died in and around Sutton Twp, Meigs County OH. May of the earlier marriages for these individuals were in Washington County OH. Thanks in advance, Rick Wilson New York, NY
Is anyone familiar with a John WILSON who was born about 1846 in Beaver County PA? He married Maria Nancy RYMER around 1874. Maria was from Washington County, OH. John Wilson's middle name may have been Oliver. John died prior to 1900 most likely in Washington County OH. Maria's parent's were Jesse Rymer and Mary Kerr. Thanks in advance, Rick Wilson New York, NY

Historians, genealogists and researchers of mid 19th century Ohio will find the vast amount of related research material in this book on CD invaluable. The extensive 918 pages contain the description of hundreds of places and place names including: cities, towns, villages and post offices of the State of Ohio. The list is simply too large to enumerate here and includes virtually all places both big and small found in 1860 Ohio. The Ohio State Gazetteer contains hundreds of advertisements by contributing businesses providing historical insight into the goods and services available during this period. Also included on this CD are mid 19th century maps of Ohio including State and township maps, transportation surveys depicting many places and place names along Ohio railroad routes, as well as, a detailed plat map of the City of Cincinnati in 1838. While these maps are not part of the original Ohio State Gazetteer, researchers interested in place names will find the cartographic information useful for identifying the location of early Ohio settlements. I have been trying to track a Sheppard/Shepherd line that came from Ireland about 1810/1820 to Carroll Co. and maybe Washington Co. I have a Margaret Shepperd who married Weir in MD about 1813 and her brothers Peter and John. Margaret was in Carroll Co. and moved to Jefferson Co. about 1820, Peter died in MD and I think John went to Washington Co. but I have nothing else on him. Anyone else have anything on this line.
