    1. [OHWASH] John Miller, Catherine Tice Miller; also Tice/Enochs
    2. Linda Hall & Listers - Your information about the Thomas Miller family set off alert signals here! The signature of Elizabeth Miller is that of an ancestor of mine. John Miller, son of Thomas Miller and Catherine Tice Miller, was married first to Marian (Maryum) Parr, then to Elizabeth Ronshausen. This must be the Elizabeth Miller who signed the bill of sale you mention. Elizabeth Ronshausen was a younger sister of my great-grandfather, Henry Louis Ronshausen. The children of John and Elizabeth Ronshausen Miller were Conrad Miller (died in France as a member of the Allied Expeditionary Force) and Myrtle Miller (who married Henry Scott). The information I have about the Thomas Miller family came from a descendant of Thomas and Marium Miller; the lady also provided some copies of documents pertaining to John and Elizabeth Ronshausen Miller. If you'd like to have the information or copies of the documents and photos, please advise. I am looking for a different Catherine Tice - the one who was briefly married to Elizabeth Ronshausen Miller's oldest brother, Christophe Ronshausen. This Catherine Tice was born about 1861, and her mother was later known as Susannah Enochs (possibly the wife of Joseph Enochs). Can a lister tell me anything about this Catherine Tice, her parents, and/or her siblings? Thanks. Nina Nhelbert@aol.com

    1. Re: [OHWASH] Heneritta Miller Carpenter Kesselring
    2. Hi Linda, We have exchanged data previously, mostly you have sent data about the Miller family. In Washington Co. Marriages there is a marriage for Henrietta to both Joseph Carpenter and Samuel Kesselring. Do you need these dates? The 1900 census shows Henrietta as Henrietta Kesselring, age 64, born April 1836, widowed and her daughter, given name haven't figured out yet, Carpenter born September 1881, age 18 single living with her. This is all I have found since reading your e-mail. Henrietta was not in my records. I would love to have a copy of Thomas' bill of sale. He is my ggggrandfather. Then comes Granville Miller, Eunice Adeline Miller Dorff, William G. Dorff, Jimmie W. Dorff and finally me. I have a copy of Granville's will if you or anyone else would like a copy. And will be glad to send what I have on Thomas' descendants which will mostly be from daughter Eunice Adeline. Mary K. Dorff Weber

    1. [OHWASH] Heneritta Miller Carpenter Kesselring
    2. Listers I have received a copy of a bill of sale on the property of Thomas Miller whom was married to Catherine Tice Miller of Ludlow Twp, Washington County, Ohio. Dated Sept 1886 and completed in 1894. This is a copy of the original held by Mildred Cady, whom was kind enough to allow me to copy it. The bill of sale was signed by all living childern of Thomas Miller and Catherine Tice Miller, from 1886 to 1894. They are as follows but in no order. Lewis Miller William Worstell and wife Rosannah Miller Worstell Granville Miller and wife Isabell A Miller Jacob Long and wife Lovina Jane Miller Long H(Henry) T Thomas Miller and wife Ida Miller Joseph Carpenter and wife Henrietta Miller Carpenter (and again signed by Henrietta Miller Kesselring) Greenberry Miller and wife Nancy Jane Hanlon Miller John Miller and wife Maryanne Miller ( later signed by John Miller and wife Elizabeth Miller) Elizabeth Miller Property was sold to the youngest son of Thomas and Catherine Tice Miller-- Joseph Miller and wife Mary E Miller. I have all I need on the above Miller with the exception of Henrietta Miller Carpenter Kesselring. She seem to be the oldest of the Miller children. I am looking for and info on Henrietta Miller and her family. I hope someone out there can help me. Thank You all Linda LRHall175@aol.com

    3. Debbie, Do you have household members of the Salem Twp. 1850 census for Chapman, Martha? I believe this may be my great great grandfather John Allen's sister. My 3g grandfather Samuel Allen might have also been a member of the household if he was still alive. Thanks! 3. Doris, With the pages that I have on the 1810 census of Washington Co., Ohio, there is also a page listing the forty-eight "early settlers" from Williams "History of Washington County, Ohio", published in 1881. Included in this list is a William Miller. In the 1810 census, put together by the DAR, and listed in a series of articles----year of the publication is not given, but the pages I have are from the August issue, to be continued in September. So this is not a complete listing. The townships listed in this article are, Adams, Belpre, Fearing and Newport. There is a Miller,(first name is smeared, but ends in b),head of the house, in Belpre twp. Others in the household, are not listed by name, only numbers in age categories: 2 m, und. 10; 1 m.26 thru 44 2 f, und. 10; 1 f. 16 thru 25 Also, in Fearing twp., there is a Miller (first name completely smeared). Others in the household are: 1 m, und. 10; 1 m. 16 thru 25 1 f, und. 10; 1 f. 16 thru 25 I'm sorry about the first names, but it appears the names might have been smeared in the copying process. Anyway, I hope it helps.
