    1. [OHWASH] Melissa E Crawford Rose Obit July 18, 1919
    2. July 18, 1919 Mrs. Melissa E. Rose Mrs. Melissa E Rose, wife of the late I. R. Rose, passed away at her home in Coal Run, Wednesday morning at eight o’clock. Her death came unexpectedly, having suffered a stroke of paralysis on Tuesday, from which she never rallied. Some three years she suffered a similar stroke and it is thought that she never fully recovered from the effects of this. Mrs. Rose was a good Christian woman and had been a member of the Coal Run M. E. Church practically all of her life. She was born near Coal Run on November 26, 1849, and all her life was spent in this county. Mrs. Rose was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John Crawford. On September 8. 1867, she was united in marriage with I. R. Rose, and the following children were born to his union Leslie and Prentice Rose, of Coal Run; Denver C of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Foster Rose, Mrs. J. C. Crooks and Mrs. Robert Mitchell, of Marietta; and Mrs. A. L. Burrows. Mr. Rose and Mrs. Burrows both died in the year 1916. Services were held at the Coal Run M. E. Church on Thursday afternoon July 17 at one o’clock, and the remains laid to rest in Round Bottom Cemetery. Sympathy is extended the bereaved children in their sorrow Linda LRHall175@aol.com

    1. [OHWASH] John Good/Goodman
    2. Good Morning Is there anyone on the Washington County list that knows anything about a John Good listed in the 1830 Ludlow Twp Washington County Census or a John Goodman, and Henry Goodman listed in Luldow Twp Washington County 1840 Census. This family is not related to family line, But found a record of a George Miller who married Hannah Good and am looking to find out what line of Good/Goodman she came from, and if there is a connect to Thomas Miller who was John Good/Goodman's neighbor. Thanks Linda LRHall175@aol.com

    3. Susie To heck with the housework. lol ha ha Not really......... I do find the time to clean house, but would much rather being doing this. ha ha I'm fortunate enough to be a stay-home Mom. I do most of my work when the kids are at school, Kevin at work, or when they are in bed for the night. It's a therapy thing, ya know. ha ha lol Check out this poem I found. Cooking? Cleaning? I'd Rather do Genealogy! They think that I should cook and clean, and be a model wife. I tell them it's more interesting to study Grandpa's life. They simply do not understand why I hate to go to bed . . . I'd rather do two hundred years of research work instead. Why waste the time we have on earth just snoring and asleep? When we can learn of ancestors that sailed upon the deep? We have priests, Rabbis, lawmen, soldiers, more than just a few. And yes, there's many scoundrels, and a bootlegger or two. How can a person find this life an awful drudge or bore? When we can live the lives of all those folks who came before? A hundred years from now of course, no one will ever know Whether I did laundry, but they'll see our Tree and glow . . . 'Cause their dear old granny left for them, for all posterity, not clean hankies and the like, but a finished family tree. My home may be untidy, 'cause I've better things to do . . . checking all the records to provide us with a clue. Old great granny's pulling roots and branches out with glee, Her clothes ain't hanging out to dry, she's hung up on The Tree. by: Mel Oshins ----- Original Message ----- From: <SusieDent@aol.com> To: <OHWASHIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2004 12:15 PM Subject: Re: [OHWASH] Washington Co. 3. Someone emailed me a few months ago asking if I had any info on the history of St. Cloud Hotel, because her ancestor was the owner. I FINALLY found some info for this person, but I don't have her email address. I'm pretty sure that this person is a subscriber to the List. I checked the archives for the message, but couldn't find one. Anyway......if this person still subscribes, please send me an email and I will be happy to send you the information that I found on St. Cloud Hotel and it's owner.
