I have just joined both Darke and Warren Co. lists, and hope to contact someone doing research on this family: David CREAGER was born in Warren Co. OH 2/12/1816 (parents???) married Catharine WAGGONER 2-3-1848 in Warren Co. He died Oct. 20, 1868 according to Darke Co. records. The records show a marriage of Solomon CREAGER to Eliza Ann Austin in 2-6-1845. Perhaps a brother of David? Children of David and Catharine are: 1. James Monroe b. 1848, Middletown, Warren Co. marr. Martha Ann b. 1852 in Franklin Twp.,Warren Co. 4. George W. b. 1855 in Franklin Twp., Warren Co. Marr. Matilda Jennie DETAMORE Oct. 18, 1877 Moved to Union City Darke Co. in 1896 d. Nov. 26, 1909 Child: Myrtle 5. John H. b. 1858 Franklin Twp., Warren Co. 6. Lewis or Louis b. 1862 Darke Co. ? The 1850 OH census listed the name as CRIGER in Warren Co. 1860 shows them as CREAGOR in Warren Co. 1870 listed under Katherine CRAIGER, Union City, Darke Co. 1880 Catherine CREIGER, Jackson Twp. Darke Co. Nearby were George and wife Jennie M. with another Detamore next door--probably her brother. Does anyone have access to cemetery records in the vicinity of Union City, Darke Co.? I would like to find burial place for David Creager which may lead to death date for Catharine. Thanks for any help! Happy to share what I have.
