    1. Eli Stoughton, blacksmith - where is he buried????? Help Needed.
    2. Eli Stoughton a blacksmith in Warren Co. & Hamilton Co. (maybe others), OH Eli was born: 12 Dec 1824, son of Cornelius & Mary Cox Stoughton. He married Emeline Scofield, dau of Caleb and Margaret Prosser Scofield 29 Oct 1845 Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH. He was in the Civil War as a blacksmith - became ill & was discharged after several attempts at getting back to blacksmithing during the war. Eli and Emeline had 9 children. His dau. Matilda married son of Thornton Thompson of Butlerville, George Thompson. George and Matilda later moved from Warren Co., OH to Elgin, ILL (Chicago), where George became a judge, George was also an enumerator of the 1860 Warren Co. Census. Eli the father of Matilda lived with them 10 years before they moved ... Where did Eli go then? Where is he buried??? He died 9 April 1897. I have looked and looked for his final resting place, can anyone help me find his final resting place ? I have searched Hamilton Co. and Warren Co. to the best of my ability. Maybe some other sources out there someone knows of ...can help me find him in Hamilton or Warren Co. - Need help in searching Butler Co., Clermont Co. & Clinton Co.for Eli !!!
