I'm new to this list and would like to find anyone who knows of my ancestors as described below. But most importantly I'm hoping someone might be able to do a 1910 & 20 census look up for me for Ralph Gibbs and his mother, Mary Gibbs who was living next door to Ralph and his young family in 1910 - he was then on census page 0157 at South Lebanon, OH. I don't have any kind of index to tell if they were on the 1920 census but would hope to figure that out also. George GIBBS - b. 1826 - probably in England, was in the Mexican-American War and was injured with loss of a leg in the Civil war. He was married in Cincinnati, OH 1848 to Mary Matilda CHAMBERS. He moved to Warren Co, OH about 1892 with his 2nd wife, Mary LOGAN - and 2 children from that marriage as his children from his wife that died in 1882 at Washington Co, Indiana were on their own by the 1890s. Those two children were Ralph L. - born about 1885 & Nellie born 1889. They grew up in Warren Co, OH on their farm just East of the tiny town of Foster. George died 1903 near their farm when his horse & wagon were hit by a train. I don't know when his 2nd wife, Mary died, but I know she was living next to her son, Ralph on the 1910 census - page 0157. Ralph married Ruby COOPER (b.-1890) at Warren Co, OH about 1905? She was the d/o George COOPER & Ruth YOUNG from Warren Co. also.. Ralph & Ruby GIBBS had 4 children: Harold, Virginia Gertrude, Vernon C. & Paul R. I haven't been able to track these children and don't know if any are still alive. Ralph's younger sister, Nellie married Jean BURK(E). I only know of their 1st child, Mary Gertrude BURK(E) born June 1910 born in Warren Co. I know Nellie & Jean BURK(E) moved to Cincinnatti by 1918. -- mailto:magriff@bigfoot.com (preferred address) Thank you & sincerely, Allan Griffith, # 1 Jodi Lane, Bloomington, IL, USA 61701 Home phone: 309-828-2059; 2nd choice: 309-829-2063 Alternates: magrif@gte.net -OR last choice: magrif@hotmail.com Note alternates both have ONE "F" & only use if bigfoot bounces Personal HomePage: http://www.bigfoot.com/~magriff/
