I have had extensive email correspondence with Frances Willess as well as quite a few snail mails back and forth. Almost a year ago I spent a full day in the Clinton County CH, following sales of land once held by John Cowan. Actually I've been researching the Cowans (with connecting info re: Shaws, Burrs and Sewells and others) in Warren and in Clinton County for about 30 years more or less. Frances provided me with much information in the past 2 or 3 years. She is a very good researcher. What are your interests in the Shaws or the Shaw/Cowan connections?
