Darlene, Do you know who the parents of Betsey Wasson-1833 are? Do you know who the parents of Anna Anderson-1817 are? My Wasson ancestoes were in North Carolina in the 1770s. My Anderson ancestors were in Warren County, OH in 1804. Mary Anderson married John Winterrowd in South Lebanon, Warren County. I beleve here father was Allen Anderson. Mert in Louisville. That marriage record is Page 187, #1666. They married or got the license in Warren County, OH. Other Collins who married during that time frame are: Amos (Abby Bennett-1819); Edmund (Hannah Collins-1819); Edmund (Nancy Randolph-1834); Eli (Susannah Helmick-1816); George (Laura Bennet-1825); James (Nancy Everhart-1835); John (Charity Banta (Bonta)-1818); John (Betsey Wasson-1833); Levi (Elizabeth Snell-1818); Thomas (Sarah Brannon-1833); Wesley (Hannah Camp-1825); and William (Anna Anderson-1817). There is a book "Warren County Chancery Records 1824-1851," which listed some Collins, but not a Peter Collins. There are Millers listed, but none for Sarah Miller or Sarah Collins. Look at the 1810 Census for Pa and see if the four Collins families are still there and again in 1820. If one is missing in PA then perhaps he migrated to Warren County, OH. Probate and land records are usually a good source of information. I "track" the land that my ancestors bought to see when they made the purchase (could indicate when they moved into the county) and when they sold that piece of land (could indicate they moved from the area unless they purchased more land). If you cannot locate any of the PA Collins as having moved to Warren County, OH perhaps some of their neighbors moved and they could be relatives of the Collins. Was Peter listed with a family on the 1820 in OH? He would have been listed as head on the 1830 in OH. Don't overlook the fact that these Collins could have been of the Quaker faith. I have Smiths moving from NY who were Quakers and in one of those 6 Volumes of Quaker Records I found my Smith family listing their children. I also have Sprays, and Hollingsworth moving from SC to Warren County, OH and they were also Quakers. The Quaker Records are online at Ancestry.com. Hope this helps some. The Warren County Genealogical Society will do some research for you for a nominal fee. There are two ladies in OH who do research for me, as I do not live in Ohio.
