    3. If anyone is discussing the Barkalows I would love to get in on it. For some reason I missed it totally. I have a few Barkalows in my tree as well. I have TWO Barkalow Phillips marriages- Both the girls were daughters of William Phillips and his wife, Sarah Jane Early. The girls were; Elva L. Phillips married to E.W. Barkalow and Maraby Phillips who married Irwin Smock Barkalow. Any info on EITHER of these families would be great! William Phillips was the son of Robert Phillips and Parmelia Hess of Rockingham County, Virginia. 1. looking for the OHWARREN list administrator
    2. Tim Pierce
    3. Hi, folks -- We are trying to locate the OHWARREN list manager. Mail to the administrator's e-mail address, susanw@softcom.net, has been bouncing for several weeks and we've been unable to determine whether they are still around using a different e-mail address or have dropped off the face of the earth. If you are the OHWARREN list administrator, please go to your list utility page and update the list admin's address with your current address. If you've forgotten where the utility page is, you can get to it at this URL: http://lists.rootsweb.com/findutil.pl?OHWARREN If you're not the list manager but know who is, you may want to forward this note to them. :-) If the list administrator's address hasn't been changed by Monday, December 6 (that's a week from today), then we'll assume that the list has been abandoned and will put it up for adoption. Thanks, and sorry to intrude -- -- Regards, Tim Pierce RootsWeb.com lead system admonsterator and Chief Hacking Officer

    1. Re: Moss Family
    2. I am also looking for information on Moss family - I did not have my Moss family in Warren Co., but you never know. Mary Moss b. Jun 1822 d. 1899 in Rogers Park, Ill. she was marrried to J. David "Henry" Overdier, b. 1814 d 1874. They lived in Columbus, Ohio at his death. They had 7 children, I only know the name of 1: Clara Overdier b. 1852 d 1882 who married Dubois Daniel Lefferson in 1873. They had 4 children and lived in Middletown, Butler Co., Ohio. Have no idea how they met - Dubois in Middletown ... Clara in Columbus? Did they live in Warren Co. maybe around 1870s? Dubois had connections in Warren Co. - My Moss/ Overdier Mystery continues. 1. William Pierson Inquiry
    2. Dave Pierson
    3. I am searching for more information on my great great grandfather, William Pierson, b-?, d-1846, m-Nov. 21, 1839 to Nancy Crosley, four children, Wilson, William, Henry and Sarah. William, Sr. died in 1846. His estate papers are in Warren Co. probate court records. Also his marriage is listed in Warren Co. probate court records. His children were very young, ages @ 5, 4, 2 and 1. Henry Pierson, b-1844, d-1929 is my great grandfather. Nancy remarried in 1849 to Valentine Bash and moved into Spencer Co., IN. I believe William is descended from either Wyllis Pierson, Jr., Samuel Pierson or possibly Mathias Pierson. Any help would be appreciated. 2. John, I am descended from the COWAN family through Elizabeth Cowan who married Peter KINDER in KY. She is the only Cowan I have at the moment and is my great-great-great-great-grandmother. I think they married in Shelby County, KY, moved to Breckinridge County, KY and were in Perry County, IN by 1820 where she is listed as a widow with a young daughter. You might possibly have an Elizabeth Cowan Kinder listed in your research and if so you might know the names of her parents. I have researched the Kinder line, and have a Peter Kinder (DAR Patriot) and Peter Kinder the son of Elizabeth as a War of 1812 Veteran. Darlene
