Hi, I'm new to the list and would like to post my information in the hopes that someone can help me out. We're looking for more information on the following family, found in the 1850 Census in Franklin Township: John Passinger, age 31, Blacksmith, born in Maryland Lydia A. age 28 born in Maryland Hezikiah age 8 born in Ohio Mary age 7 born in Ohio Emaline age 4 born in Ohio Catharine age 1 born in Ohio We have a Sarah Passinger in our family, born in Ohio abt. 1855. I was not able to find this family in the same township in 1860 to see if Sarah might have been their daughter. Sarah also had a sister (possibly half-sister) named Laura, born in Wisconsin abt. 1863. We always were told Laura's maiden name was Mizner, so I'm wondering about the possibility that Sarah might have been born to the above family, and John Passinger died...leaving wife Lydia to remarry a Mizner and relocate to WI? Or possibly John and family moved to Wisconsin. Is there anyone who can do lookups for Warren county? Specifically what I'm looking for is either a birth record for Sarah Passinger or a death record for John Passinger. Sorry for the lengthy post... this family seems to be our brick wall. Thank you, Natalie in CA
Hi, I'm looking for any information regarding the marriage of Edwin Lamar WOOD to Cathern Mary STOCK in Springboro, Warren Co. Ohio on November 19, 1894. Also, where might I find any information regarding Murdock, Warren Co. Ohio? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Leon L. Wood, III
Cindy Carman have you worked on the Carman Line? Barbara
Mother's Mill is Mather's Mill and I stand corrected, but you know the eyesight must be the first thing that goes. I should have taken a magnifying glass and read the names, but the map of Warren County, with cemeteries marked in each township is very helpful. Another person gave some good directions being more familiar with the area. Darlene
I am not from the area, but have been there a few times for research purposes and have been able to find Edwardsville and other cemeteries (not always easy to do). The Warren County Genealogical Society has a neat map that would probably help you. That cemetery is called Hurell/Wilkerson in the Washington Township. On the map, there are three cemeteries near each other and they are 1. Besler, 2. Huffman/Bethany Baptist and 3. Hurrell/Wilkerson. The cemeteries are located east of Lebanon, and it looks like the highway is 350 and if you get to Clarksville you have gone too far. On the cemetery map going east from Lebanon, pass Mother's Mill and pass Interstate 71 (or highway) intersection, pass about three or four intersections and cemetery 2 and 3 are located on this road before you reach an intersection going north and Clarksville Road going south. I have the Cemetery Book with Wilkerson Cemetery listings, but all it has for directions is Washington Township. Good luck on your research trip in June. Darlene

I have been to Warren County on two occasions and have been unable to find the location of the Wilkerson Cemetery. It is supposed to be in Washington Township, Springhill Neighborhood, Lebanon and Wilmington Pike. Not being from anywhere near there we get awfully turned around. Can anyone give me directions? We will be there in June.
Dear Friends, I am searching for the parents of Samuel Hiday who was born about 1800 in KY or OH and married to Martha Jane Harper on 22 May 1828 in Warren Co, OH. I have found his marriage record in Warren Co. and located him in the 1850 Census in Hamilton Co, IN. In the same marriage index there is a George Hiday listed married to a Elizabeth Pidgeon but I do not know of his relationship to Samuel. I know Samuel died before 1870 because Martha Jane is listed in the Hamilton Co, IN 1870 Census without him. I have not been able to find him in the 1860 Census. If you would like to look at the information I have on him you can use my family account of 1000 and password of thecarmans to look at the family history which I have posted at http://www.mytrees.com click "Login Now" and enter the account number and password. Then on the Select Pedigree screen click the arrow that is on the box aboove the Submit Selection button and select the pedigree named "Cindys Smith Sullivan Gary Lackey". Thanks for reading this and your thoughtful help. Sincerely, Cindy Carman

LEBANON WESTERN STAR 9 Oct 1834 Judith sent me this page marked one of 2 but for the life of me I cannot find 2 so will copy the partials on this one. DRUG STORE The subscriber Dr. Samuel A. Latta having purchased the Drug store former owned by Dr. J. Borden in Lebanon intends carrying on the Drug and Apothecary business at the old stand on Broadway one door north of Mr. Phillip's grocery. He will keep constantly on hand a large and general assortment of Drugs, Medicines, Paints and Dye-stuffs together with Tea, Coffee, Chocolate, Allspice, Pepper and Ginger. In short whatever thing that is commonly kept in such an establishment. He has now on hand and intends keeping a general assortment of Botanical Medicine such as are generally used in the Thompsonian practice. They are warranted genuine and free from any mixture or amalgamation with any other medicine as is said to have been the case in some instances. From his knowledge of the Thompsonian system [having studied it] it is confidently believed he will be able to select such medicines from time to time as shall be approved by those who are in the habit of using Thompsonian Medicine. From his knowledge of, and long experience in the science of Medicine, and as a regular practitioner for more than ten years, he hopes t be able to select such medicines as will be approved by the Medical Faculty and those who employ them. He will sell low for cash. All persons who may wish to purchase anything belonging to his business are respectfully invited to call and examine for themselves. N.B. It is not his intention to engage in the common practice. But will give councel or advice to those who may apply for medicine. And having turned his attention to the cure of Dyspepsia and other Chronic diseases in particular for the last five years, he expects still to continue that kind of practice. His general remedies for the cure of Dyspepsia consist in the use of two medicines: These are put up in two bottles and for sake of convenience they are accompanied with printed directions, price one dollar each. This medicine has been used by some hundreds during the past year, and the increasing demand for it is the best evidence that the proprietor could have that the expectations of the Dyspepsic have been fully realized, and as a general remedy it has succeeded beyond his most sanguine expectations. It is wholly vegetable and perfectly safe. Those who are troubled with Costiveness, Cholic, sick head-ache, Dizziness, sourness of the stomach, cold feet, heart-burn, water brash, swelling of the stomach with pain after eating; raising the food, with belching & those who are much debilitated, accompanied with a palpitation of the heart, or-with weakness or Diorhoea. will do well to avail themselves of the advantages to be derived from the use of these medicines. Barbara, I am doing Crosson research, but I only have one Crosson. Hannah CROSSON married Henry SMITH in Clinton County, OH on 24 April 1841. I have her daughter's death certificate listing her parents as Henry SMITH and Hannah CROSSON. My research for the SMITH family has been easier than finding the parents of Hannah CROSSON. Darlene
Is there anyone on the list doing Crosson research? From Pa. to Ohio early 1800's. Barbara
