    1. 1830 Census Lookup Request
    2. Liz Osborn
    3. I am wondering if someone might have the 1830 federal census for Warren County handy, and could look up the following individual for me: Warren County, Union Township, page 222, line 17, OSBORN, Ira - age 20-29, (Head of Household). I am interested in knowing the number, ages, and sex of any other persons living in his household. (I am hoping to find a wife of about the same age, and a 1 year old daughter... finding more would be a bonus). Also, if there are any COX family members on the same page, and if so, what the first name of the heads of household are (hoping for info on Ira's wife's family). Thank You. Liz Osborn Longmont, Colorado.

    1. Cemetery or Obit for Abigail Burger
    2. steve
    3. Howdy All, I'm hoping someone can help me get started on this. I am looking for either the cemetery or maybe the obit for Abigail (Hall) Burger she was living in Warren Co. Harlan Twp. on her farm in 1900 according to the Census. I don't have much else on her other that she was listed living next to her Daughter Rebecca Fuller and her son Allen C. Burger by 1910 Allen was living in Montgomery Co. and I can trace his where abouts to the present. I am hoping to find Abigail and Adam Burger's resting place. Any hints or tips on where to look would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve

    1. Cincinnati History Book
    2. Herb & Becky Stevenson
    3. My husband and I just went antiquing, and we always try to look for things "hiding" away that might help out genealogists in finding their families. This year I found a biographical history book for Cincinnati that many of you may be looking for. To keep it fair, and so everyone has a chance on it, I'm offering it on E-Bay. It is item #440613288, in case anyone is interested. It has many, many surnames in it, and someone will really need it for the information. Hope I help someone! Becky L. Stevenson

    1. Aaron Cox b. 1781 in NJ, d. ??? in OH
    2. Liz Osborn
    3. Hi, I'm still looking for the parents of Rebecca COX, whose marriage to Ira OSBORN on 22 Oct 1826 is recorded in the Warren County Records. Rebecca is buried in Second Creek Cemetery, near Blanchester in Clinton County; her gravestone indicates whe was born in 1809 and died in 1874. The census records indicate Rebecca was born in Ohio. Rebecca and Ira lived very close to the Warren-Clinton County lines; they are found in Salem Township, Warren County, in the 1850 Census; they are found thereafter in Marion Township, Clinton County, near their son and daughter in law, Eli & Eliza (Allen) OSBORN. I have a new lead that suggests that Rebecca may have been the daughter of Aaron COX, born 1781 in New Jersey, and Elizabeth (possibly HEMMINGER), born about 1790 also in New Jersey. This lead is promising for three reasons: Ira's parents (Joseph and Rosana Dorch OSBORN) migrated to Ohio from New Jersey; Aaron and Elizabeth COX were married in 1805 in New Jersey, so that is about the right time period to have been her parents; and Ira and Rebecca named their firstborn son Aaron. I am interested in any information that would prove the link (or disprove the link) between Aaron and Rebecca. In particular, I am interested in knowing where Aaron and Elizabeth might have lived in Warren and/or Clinton Counties. Also, where they died and were buried. Aaron and Elizabeth have two _known_ children; Edward and Sarah, both born in the early 1820s. Sarah married Issac TAYLOR in Warren County in 1846. Thank You Liz Osborn Searching for ALLEN, BAILEY, BOWMAN, COX, DONAHUE, OSBORN, RICHARDSON, STEPHENS, and TURNER in Clinton, Warren, Clermont, Highland, and Brown counties, Ohio. http://www.csd.net/~liz/genctr/genctr.htm

    3. I am looking for anyone who has information on any Piersons from Union Township in Warren Co., especially in the 1800-1840 era. Names of particular interest are William (my GGGRandfather), Squire and Stephen. William and Stephen may have been brothers, but both died before 1850 (1846 and 1848 respectively.) I believe they may have been sons of Squire, who was counted in the 1850 census as 65 years of age. Please e mail me if you can help. 1. CREAGER family / Warren Co. cemeteries?
    2. Thomas Anderson
    3. Hi, Would someone mind doing a lookup in Warren County cemetery books, especially in Franklin Twp.? I am looking for burial place of David CREAGER and wife Catherine (WAGGONER) Creager. He was born 1816 in Warren Co., lived there until early 1860's when the family moved to Union City in Darke Co. David died 1868 but does not seem to appear on cemetery records in Darke. Perhaps they brought his body back "home." Also trying to locate death date and burial place for Catherine. She was age 50 in 1880 census. Have not found her in 1900. She had three adult, single children with her in 1880, Darke Co. Further info. on any of these would be greatly appreciated! Martha Ann age 26 John H. 21 Lewis or Louis 18 Is anyone else researching this CREAGER line? David is apparently the son of Casper Creager according to information in the Montgomery Co. History. Other children of David and Catherine were James M. b. 1848 (married Elizabeth Rapp) >>IN>>MI Mary M. b. 1850 (married John L. Gregg) >>IN George W. b. 1855 (married Matilda Jennie Detamore)>>Darke Co. Happy to share what I have. Karen

    3. Hello Everyone, I am researching the Burger and Hall families in Warren Co. Adam Burger m. Abigail Hall in Warren Co. in 1848. The only other Burger families I have found in the Census are in 1820 the census taker only listed the first initial A. Burger in 1830 the only one I found was Rebecca Burger. Adam shows up in 1850 with Abigail and two children living next door to the Hall family. I believe these Hall's to be Abigail's parents. Adam and Abigail had a son Allen Clyde born in 1867 in Warren Co. Up to 1850 they lived in Salem Twp. If anyone can steer me in the direction of cemetery listings or anything else I can use to get me going on this line I would appreciate it. Thanks for reading this. 1. Re: Hamilton Township
    2. LBoorom
    3. John Hill's will was admitted to Hamilton Co. OH probate on 22 Jul 1803 although Ohio became a State Mar. 1 of that year and that is the time Warren became a county, the will was filed in Hamilton Co). He names his son's Benjamin, Joseph deceased, Philip, & Samuel. I have a copy of the will from the court house, but haven't as yet attempted to transcribe it. There are parts that I cannot read. I too would like to know the names of Philip's descendants. In Hamilton Co. on 20 Apr 1836, Caleb Hill (b. 13 Mar 1813 d. 22 Feb 1882) married Barbara Booram(b. abt. 1815) d/o Jesse & Jane Booram. Abt. 1850 Caleb & wife Barbara moved to Logan Co. OH. There, shortly after the census was taken, Barbara must've died, for on 28 Oct 1851 Caleb married Nancy Hukill. I have been informed by Hukill researchers that his name in Logan Co., was also known as Philip Caleb Hill. As yet, I've been unable to track the original source of this statement or any additional information, but continue searching :-) Barbara Booram's sister Rebecca also married a Henry Hill 24 Dec 1840 in Hamilton Co. So far the relationship, if any between Caleb & Henry is unknown, yet Caleb's 1840 census in Symmes Twp. Hamilton Co. lists 2 males age 20-30, (one of which could be Henry) besides 1 female age 20-30 (Barbara) and 2 females age 0-5 (Margaret b. abt. 1837 and Rebecca b. abt 1838). I've found a Henry & Rebecca in Hardin Co. in 1850 just across the border from Logan where Caleb resided that appears to be the same, but I've reason to believe they returned to the Warren & Hamilton co. area by 1853 although I've found nothing more on them yet. The 1847 wall map of Hamilton Co. shows a P. Hill in section 13 near the Warren Co. border which is to the north. Section 13 is the most north eastern section in the county on the Little Miami River which is now part of the Hamilton Co. portion of Loveland. If indeed Caleb was also known as Philip Caleb, this may have been the land he owned. Since this information came to light recently, I've not yet had a chance to get to the Recorder's office to find the deed to know who P. Hill was. Hoping too that someone may have additional information to add. Linda Boorom > In the fall of 1800 Philip and Benjamin Hill of NC came to and settled in southern Hamilton Township; the latter where the old stone house now stands, 1/2 miles east of Loveland and near the Murdock Pike. The former settled farther east on the old Philip Hill Farm. > > I believe Philip and Benjamin HILL were the ancestors I'm looking for, but can't > seem to find any other information about them -- such as death dates, children, > burial place, etc.
