Hi, The Garrett Cem. is still there. I was there last summer. It was the LYLE/GARRETT family cemetery. Eli Garrett married Mary Ann Lyle (My GG aunt). They are both buried there along with other Garrett's and Lyle's. It is a beautiful cemetery about a mile and a half north of Allenville. I think I do have a photo of Eli's tombstone. Searching for a death certificate, will or anything for Joice Shifflett who was from Rockingham County, Virginia and moved to Vinton County, Ohio with her son. She had applied for a widow's pension i think from the war of 1812 from her husband Edward Shiflett in the Richland Township of Vinton County and it was accepted. I would like to get ahold of a copy of this or anything else that could help me in my search. Can anyone help? Much appreciated. Donna >
