Probation Officer Barnet HOOK is able to be out again after several weeks illness with a bad cold. Bob HUTCHINSON and Austin BROWN went to Chillicothe Monday, to enlist in the regular Army. Miss Mary WYMAN spent Easter with Mr. and Mrs. Harry RUMBAUGH and family at Jackson. John BARBER and son left Tuesday for West Virginia, where they have employment on a saw mill. The following are among the seriously sick: Mrs. Amanda PEARCE, Rev. M. V. HUSTON, J. R. SMITH. G. L. FERRIS arrived from Columbus Tuesday, where he had been transacting business for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred SISSON and son of Middleport were here Saturday till Monday visiting relatives. Plyley TATMAN and son Herbert were pleasant callers at this office Monday. Their home is at Whistler. Miss Emma ULLOM of Gallipolis was here from Saturday till Monday visiting her father, S. B. ULLOM. William FISCHER, Mrs. Hile BAY and Margaret Jane FISCHER of Zaleski were McArthur visitors Saturday. Miss Ora SHARP of Columbus is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. D. SHARP, and other relatives. Miss Violet MORRIS left Saturday for Columbus where she will visit Mr. and Mrs. Pete PEACOCK and family. Murle SWAIM left Tuesday for Wellston where she will visit Mr. and Mrs. John HARPER and family there. Alsinus GASKILL of Middleport, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer WARD and family were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sam BROWN of the BOTHWELL farm Sunday. Harry OGAN has established a shop to weld all kinds of metals in the building just back of Walter LEE's residence. Mrs. Henry FEE, Mr. and Mrs. Frank BRICE and daughter of Circleville were the guests of Mrs. Etta VANSKY Sunday. Mrs. Percy BETHEL and little son Arthur of near Ray visited her mother Mrs. William SMITH Saturday and Sunday. Dr. Owen CASSILL and Dr. M. A. CASSILL of Chicago, Illinois, spent last Friday with relatives in Richland township. Mr. and Mrs. Ed ELLINGTON are moving to Moorehead, Kentucky this week. Mr. ELLINGTON will be employed in a store there. Miss Sylvia BROWN spent the latter part of last week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper NEISWONGER at Allensville. Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Diles and family motored to Dayton Friday where they were the guests of relatives. They returned Monday. (Margin cut off, some words indecipherable.) OGAN who has been provicial treasurer of the Province of Neueva Caceres, Phillippine Islands for a number of years, has been transferred to Ligao, Island of Albay in the same? capacity. This is a promotion for Mr. Ogan, as Albay is a richer and more populous province. He is an expert? on? Phillippine financial affairs. (More with margin cut off.
