I measured it on some mapping software that I have and I got 11.2 miles, but that is going the shortest way by modern highways (Rt 160, Rt 324, Rt 93). In 1889, the roads would not have been as straight since with modern highway construction they straighten the road and bypass small burgs in order to go more directly between major towns or villages. ======================================== Charles R.
