WORLEY last Thursday evening and at Mrs. L. S. SPRAGUE's Saturday. The work being planned last fall was interrupted by the flu epidemic but is now getting a new start. The principal work for the spring months will be Child Welfare work through out the county. County officers are: Mr. H. J. SWAIM, Chairman: Mrs. L. C. COULTRAP, Nursing and Civilian Relief. FARMER'S WEEK Over 4800 persons attended the seventh annual farmer's week held at the Ohio State University, Columbus, last week. This is the largest attendance of rural people at any similar event in the United States and exceeds all previous records in Ohio by 800 persons. Those from Vinton county were: C. H. COPELAND, A. G. QUEER PHENOMENON Something very curious took place at the home of C. W. CONWAYs Sunday while the family were at Sabbath school. When they returned home they discovered visitors had been there during their absence. There were several things missing: Three pies, a four layer cake, one cake of toilet soap, one half shoulder of meat, one purse, one dollar, and a flash light.--Pike Run Cor. HARPER Mrs. Lafe HARPER, who lived about 3 miles north of Allensville died Tuesday afternoon of influenza, at the age of about 40.
