Hi Jack, This is interesting. I didn't know of the Jonathan and William Jones from Ky. What we have gathered has been taken from census reports, Elijah Jones' will (b 1789, will was filed in 1870? I believe and is on file at the Vinton County Court House) and family ledgers. I will list all the info I have here and would appreciate it if anyone can add to this. Elijah Jones, b Dec 1789 in Md, d Nov 6, 1864 in Vinton County, Ohio, buried in Weaver Cemetery Sarah Jones, b May 2, 1797 in Ohio (but the 1850 census lists her born in Md.), d Nov 12, 1869 in Vinton County, buried in Weaver Cemetery. Children of Elijah and Sarah: 1. Jesse H. Jones, b 1816 in Ohio, d 1901, buried in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt Sterling, Ohio. He married Verlinda Foreman,b 1817 in Ohio, d 1898, buried in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt Sterling, Ohio. 2. Elizabeth Amanda Jones, b abt 1817, married Levi Foreman, March 24, 1836 3. Mary M Jones, b 1821, in the 1850 Vinton County census, she is living with her parents along with her 3 daughters, the last name looks like "Burris". Last name was "Myers" at time of the reading of her fathers will. 4. Jonathan Jones, b 1827, married a Sarah A ? according to the 1850 census and had a son name Elijah born July 1850. 5. William Jones, b 1828 6. Leander Monroe Jones, b 1831 in Ohio, married Martha Ann Robinette, Jan 2, 1853 (Leander served in the 28th Ohio Reg, Co K during the Civil War and died in Savannah, Ga) 7.
