    3. >From the McArthur Democrat Enquirer, Aug 13, 1919 PARTIES AT KNOX NO 1 cont. "Sunday the friends and relatives gathered at the home of Mrs. George STANLEY In order to celebrate her birthday. At the noon hour a nice luncheon was served consisting of all the good things to eat and the fruits of the season, in which all that were present demonstrated their appetites. In the evening all returned to their several homes wishing Mrs. STANLEY many more bright and happy Birthdays. Those that attended the luncheon were Jessie STANLEY, Osie TROUT, Marion MCLAIN and wife of Prattsville, Harley BORING and wife, of Sugar Greek, Clarence STANLEY, Howard ROBINS and wife, of Albany, Pearl CANNY wife and daughter Madaline of Mineral, Roy GRAVES and wife, George CLIMER and wife, Arch STANLEY, Lyda STANLEY, Selma TOWNSEND, Walter TOWNSEND, George MCLAIN, Mrs. John ROBINS, Mildred and Iva HOLDREN, Frank MCWHORTER and wife of Carbondale, Clyde STANLEY, Raymond McWHORTER, Anna FARLEY and W. M. STANLEY and wife. TARR FARM Miss Jessie KIRKENDALL was the guest of Mrs. Joseph BLACKSTONE Thursday evening. Joseph BLACKSTONE was shopping in Hamden Friday. John WARD who is working at the saw mill for Jack THOMPSON was home over Sunday with his family. Misses Elcie and Bessie KIRKENDALL who have been visiting relatives at Clarion and Hawk for the past three weeks returned home Saturday. Mrs. Perry WILLIAMS was the over Sunday guest of her sister at Hamden. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo MCLAUGHLIN of Clarion were the over Sunday guests of Mrs. and Mrs. Ed KIRKENDALL. Silas COOPER of near Radcliff was the Sunday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Archie OGLE."
