Virgil CANNY was the guest of Ross HALLIDAY at Dexter last Sunday. W. M. DIEHL and family have returned to their home at Chillicothe after a weeks visit with her parents, A. D. FORREST and wife. Augusta MUNN and Bessie CALLAHAN of Sugar Creek were the over Sunday guests of Jessie STANLEY, BOLEN and GUYER were through this vicinity buying cattle one day last week. Will BOBO and wife of The Plains and Alfred TURNER and wife of Albany were the Sunday guests of Howard LLWELLYN and wife. Ellis BROWN and wife and daughter Ollie were the guests of Clarence STAGE at the Plains, Sunday. Ephriam ELLIS and son James were callers in Athens over Saturday and Sunday. URAL Mr. and Mrs. Ira G. SOWERS and baby of Summit Station spent last week with relatives here. Mrs. Flo ALLISON is visiting Mr. and Mrs. R. P. SEITZ near Ashville. Miss Anna LOCKWOOD returned to her home at Cheshire Saturday after spending several weeks with her grand parents Mr. and Mrs. J. S. SEITZ here. Mrs. U. W. THOMAS and daughters Flo and Ola and Willard PECK spent Sunday at the Camp Meeting at Stoutsville. Miss Golda CARPENTER has returned from Haydenville. Mr. and Mrs. M. D. SEITZ and son Vernon were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie HASELTON. PARTIES AT KNOX NO. 1 During the past few months this place has seemed to be kind of a dead place until Saturday evening the young people gathered at the home of Lee BROOKS and we are now led to believe that it is still alive. The evening was spent in music and games in which the old as well as the young love to participate. Those attending were; Arch STANLEY, Vernon CANNY, Noel LLEWELLYN, Tom BROWN, George MC LAIN, George CHESSER, Rean CARSEY, Howard STANLEY, L. A. TEWKSBURY, Zelman KENNARD, Eugene FORREST, Garrett MCKIBBON, Jessie STANLEY, Mrs. Bertha CHESSER, Ollie SAYLOR, Osie TROUT, Edith TROUT, Etta MCDONALD, Mrs. Rean CARSEY, Audra PHILLIPS, Gladyse PHILLIPS, and four parties from Kimberly that we were unable to learn the names.
