SOURCE: Obituary from Republican Tirbune April 21, 1926 " Miss Marie Ellen Cassill , aged 74 years died at her home in Richland Township, Vinton County Ohio, April 14, 1926. She was the daughter of Anthony Cassill, one of the early settlers of Richland Township and whose father was one of the pioneers of this county. Miss Cassill was born, lived and died on the old homestead which was purchased from the government when the land office was located at Chillicothe, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Friday, April 16th J.C. Richards of Chillicothe Ohio. Burial was in the Cassill Cemetery. The funeral was conducted by undertaker Goddard of Wellston, Ohio. Pall bearers were L.R. Atwood, F.L. Jarvis, M.S, Cox, A.N. Burr, S.E. Murphy and Everett Hutt.
