You may also find two men named Pearl and one woman named Cecil. I did. But it may have been Jackson County, too. I am researching the Richard & Saddie Bolar family and Thacker family, beginning with Thomas B and his wife Nancy Ann, my gg-grandparents. I have many family members from that area beginning in the 1820-30's. I have found in one book a major error, they have a gg-uncle listed as a woman, not knowing that Pascal Vaughn (Nancy Anns's brother) is not a woman. I love each family hsitory discovery and feel even closer to my Vinton County family and respective home each time. I have never lived there but I have been there as a small child, I look forward to a return trip now as an adult seeking to know my family from the past.
