    3. SOURCE: Vinton County Newspaper McArthur Democrat Enquirer January 28, 1892 "DIED" "BOBO- At his residence, near McArthur, January 22nd, 1892 Thomas Wren Bobo aged about 54 years. The deceased had been in bad health for several years and his last illness from lung fever, found a weakened system to resist it. He leaves a wife, and five children, and numerous relatives to deplore his death. The funeral took place on Sunday from the Christian Church, Rev. Angel officiating." "OBITUARY" Thomas Wren Bobo was born July 30, 1838 at McArthur, Vinton county, O. Departed this life January 22d, 1892 aged 53 years, 5 months and 23 days after an illnes of about three weeks of lung fever. He bore his affliction with a Christian spirit and was never heard to murmur or complain. He was united with the Church of Christ at Bethel Church under the Elder Harkins, and was baptised by the same in October 1889. He was married to Mary E. Jacobs, April 15, 1804 in Lima, Ohio. To this union was born two sons and three daughters, all of whom with the mother, remain to mourn their loss. As stated the deceased was born at McArthur where he has always lived except for a few years in Indiana. He served in the Union army during the rebellion, but unfortunately never obtained a pension although he had a claim pending for several years, and thus another comrade is gone, without being recognized by his government. He and the writer, were born on adjoining farms and within a few months of the same time and were much together during boyhood, and as I now look back over the past, I fail to recall one unkind word that ever passed between us. He was liked best by those that were the most intimately acquainted with him. He was a kind husband, and father, and we trust has gone to his just reward. His bereaved family has the undivided sympathy of the entire community. A Friend." _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
