The following was printed in this Meigs Co. newspaper and seems to be a reprint from the Athens Messenger Republican Herald, Middleport, Friday, April 17, 1896 Dr. Andrew Wolf, a practicing physician in Vinton county for sixty-one years, died at his late residence in McArthur, Tuesday, April 7th. His father, Andrew Wolf, Sr., was one of the early pioneers of Athens county. Dr. Wolf was one of a family of ten children, the greater part of whom married and remained in this county, thus making the family connections quite numerous. He was in his 86th year at the time of his death and had lived a life of usefulness, watching the development of Vinton county and ever lending his assistance to further the interest of its people.
